The Early Days in Malaysia
Rahim started his career as an accountant in Malaysia, his home country before realizing that his true passion was in culinary.
He chose Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa because he liked the lengths of the programs, the style of courses (practical/demonstration) because it allowed ample time for hands-on learning, the emphasis on French cuisine and the on-site restaurant.
Culinary Skills Learned at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa
While mastering the techniques, Rahim learned timing and organization at Le Cordon Bleu. One of the biggest lessons he learned was to "respect the basics."
Toqué! - Five Diamonds and Four Stars
The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) and the American Automobile Association (AAA) awarded Toqué! their highest rating of 5 Diamonds, which highlights the quality of their food, service, décor, and facilities. Toqué! was also recognized as the best Debeur restaurant in 2005 by the Guide Debeur and has received the guide's highest rating of four stars for the past several years.
